Moms Club of Tustin Santa/Ana - Activities

Activities: The MOMS Club of Tustin/Santa Ana provides many activities and services for our members. A calendar which is included in a monthly newsletter is provided to our members with details of upcoming events.  We are periodically adding and changing things as needed.  We try to provide a variety of programs for everyone's needs and interests.  Suggestions for new programs and improvements are always welcome by our members.

Below is a list and brief description of activities and services that the Tustin/Santa Ana MOMS Club currently provides:

  • Business/Board Meetings: We meet once a month to make decisions, discuss business, make announcements, provide information, and socialize. All chapters hold these meetings, and attendance is not mandatory.
  • Craft Day: Each month we provide our kids with a simple craft to make for an upcoming holiday or just for fun. We usually meet at a park and let them play afterwards.
  • Field Trips: Field trips are planned usually once a month. This past year our field trips included: Adventure City, Discovery Science Center, Green Meadows Farms, Kidseum, Long Beach Aquarium, Nickelodeon Studios, Oak Canyon Nature Walk, and a train ride to L.A. Children's Museum.
  • HOOTs (Husbands Out Of Town):  An opportunity for moms with husbands who travel or work at night to get together in the evenings.
  • Mom's (or Family) Night Out: Once a month our moms have the opportunity to get out and socialize. Our nights out have been great fun; we made pottery on one occasion, another, we barbequed shish-kabob. We alternate our "Moms Nights" each month with "Family night." (These nights spouses and children are invited to come along.)
  • Newsletter: We provide a monthly newsletter for our members which includes a calendar for the following month, club news and information, articles, member classified ads, recipes, and announcements.
  • Park Days: We schedule park days several times a month to give our kids a chance to get outside and play for a while. If the weather does not permit for us to be outside, we have a rainy day site which has indoor play equipment.
  • Playgroups: Our playgroups meet a couple of times a month. Currently, we have four groups by year the children are born:  "1995/96," "1997,"  "1998" and "1999."   Summer playgroups are meeting on a selected day every two weeks.
